March is here, and with it comes that unmistakable shift in the air — longer days, open windows, and a fresh sense of possibility. It's the perfect time to refresh your aromatherapy routine!

Here are a few essential oils that capture the spirit of spring renewal:

  • Lemon — Bright and uplifting, perfect for clearing stale winter energy from your home
  • Peppermint — Invigorating and crisp, a natural pick-me-up for sluggish mornings
  • Eucalyptus — Clean and clarifying, wonderful for that deep-breath feeling
  • Grapefruit — Cheerful and energizing, sets a positive tone for the whole day
  • Lavender — Always a classic, and pairs beautifully with any of the above

I've been running Lemon + Peppermint in my Nebulizing Diffuser all week and the house smells absolutely incredible. There's something about that combination that just screams "fresh start."

The aroma diffusers or essential oil diffusers are responsible for dispersing essential oils in the air, and they promise several advantages. Plant-based essential oils can help people sleep better, feel more relaxed, have a better mood, and improve brain functions.

While traditional diffusers use water and electricity, there’s a new wave of aromatherapy products that don’t need either. And honestly? They’re more convenient, more sustainable, and just as effective.

Benefits of Waterless Aromatherapy:

  • Portable: Take a rollerball or the oils anywhere—work, travel, car rides.
  • Concentrated: No dilution means stronger aroma and more targeted benefits.
  • Eco-Friendly: No need for plastic pods or tap water.
  • Low Maintenance: No mold risk or daily cleaning like with water diffusers.
Waterless Aromatherapy is a Game Changer

Getting ready to film the nebulizer today!! So excited! Hope everyone has a great Friday!

🌿 Did You Know? Tea Tree Oil is Nature’s Secret Weapon!

I enjoy using essential oils in the evening to promote a calm, tranquil atmosphere. EOs that are rich in the monoterpene linalool are considered some of the most calming oils. Lavender is extremely high in linalool! Have you ever used lavender (essential oil or herb) to relax? Is there another oil you find relaxing other than lavender?

We got a message today from a essential oil company in New Zealand. It said "I am from Port Blakely New Zealand Essential Oils. We are the world's leading producer of Douglas-fir essential oil.

My quick question today is: What is your process for assessing a new oil?

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.

I remember as a child going to the Rocky Mountains and a park ranger told us to smell the Douglas Fir. It was very beautiful and sweet. I don't remember it being like pine or cedarwood.. more sweet. I am eager to try. Maybe will carry it!?!

🌲 Emotional Support and Clarity

Douglas Fir essential oil is often used for clearing emotional clutter, helping with mental focus, and promoting a sense of renewal. It’s like deep forest therapy in a bottle. People often turn to it when they’re feeling mentally overwhelmed or emotionally stuck.

🌿 Chemical Profile Highlights

Its main constituents include bornyl acetate, alpha-pinene, and beta-pinene—these are known for their calming, anti-inflammatory, and respiratory-supportive properties.

  • Bornyl acetate gives that soft, sweet, almost fruity-pine note—it’s also found in Helichrysum.
  • Alpha-pinene is great for opening the airways and clearing the mind.

🧘‍♀️ Great for Diffusing

Because of its fresh, grounding aroma, Douglas Fir is excellent in a diffuser—especially blended with oils like bergamot, cedarwood, frankincense, or lavender for an emotionally grounding and inspiring blend.

🌬️ Respiratory Benefits

Like many conifer oils, it helps support healthy breathing and can be a great addition to steam inhalations or chest rubs (always diluted, of course!).

🌎 Eco Note

Douglas Fir essential oil is often sourced from sustainably harvested needles or branches—meaning it’s sometimes collected from byproducts of the lumber industry, which is a win-win for eco-conscious users.
