When most people think of the different factors that make up a healthy body, things that immediately jump to mind include the heart, weight, and even mental health. One thing that is often overlooked, however, is circulation. The body’s circulation has a direct impact on virtually every aspect of your well-being, and as such it’s important to pay attention to steps you can take which may help promote better circulation. Essential oils could be one of the best ways to do just that.
Before we get into the essential oils and using them to help improve circulation, it’s worth taking a quick look at circulation itself. The body’s circulatory system is responsible for moving blood throughout the entire body. This moves nutrients, oxygen, and other key compounds that are vital for life.
When blood flow to different areas is diminished, it can lead to a wide range of symptoms including things like:
All of these issues are caused by a lack of proper levels of oxygen reaching the different areas of the body. When this occurs, it can lead to reduced health and poor performance of different parts of the body including the lymphatic system, which can in turn lead to even more complications. In short, correcting circulatory issues is incredibly important for anyone.
Often, poor circulation is actually not a disease all its own, but is rather a symptom of a larger, more serious condition. Some of these conditions could be things like peripheral artery disease, wherein the blood vessels or arteries are narrowed. High cholesterol, heart disease, and other similar issues could also lead to problems with circulation.
As such, treatment often begins with a focus on the condition that is causing the poor circulation to occur. Speaking with a medical professional is an important first step, and they can help offer options for addressing these issues. This could include everything from losing weight to correcting heart conditions and beyond. However, to promote better circulation as a whole, the use of different essential oils is something that is well worth considering as well.
Using essential oils to help improve circulation is something that focuses on improving the health of the blood vessels as well as stimulating blood flow and lymphatic system functionality. The different oils can help promote better overall circulation and make it easier to fight against the issue, feeling better as you improve your health.
One of the best ways for essential oils to permeate the body is to use an essential oil diffuser. More specifically a nebulizing diffuser is the most effective device for pure essential oils to enter the body. It uses only pressurized air to effortlessly atomize millions of tiny micro-particles of pure essential oil and disperse them quickly across a wide area.
Another option is to administer them topically. There are a couple of ways to go about this. One option is to mix the proper essential oil with a carrier oil like coconut or sweet almond oil in a 3% diluted solution. This creates a well-balanced oil that can then be massaged into the limbs affected by poor circulation.
A third option is to use the oils in a bath, adding 10 to 15 drops of the oil to a hot bath and soaking in it for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Either way, certain oils are much more effective than others at promoting better circulation. Here are 3 of the best options to go with.
These essential oils are excellent places to start when trying to improve your circulation. Combine them with a healthier lifestyle including exercise, drinking more water and a healthy diet, and discuss your circulatory issues with your medical professional to get on your way to feeling better than you have in years. Circulation may be overlooked, but once you improve it, your health will improve as well.

How many drops of eucalyptus, Cypress, ginger, do you use per recipe. I’m looking to put it into a bottle with a roller.
Recipes were requested by a couple of people, but no responses. Is there a recipe for poor circulation? Thank you. Also, a recipe for the girl with foot numbness and burning?
Which type of Eucalyptus are you using? I know there is over 190 different kinds of Eucalyptus, so what wondering which one is the best for circulation.
I suffer form ostioarthritus in every joint. Nothing has worked and have been at a loss for 10 yrs now. Recently I have read about DMSO. DMSO is claimed to help with pain and is a excellent carrier. Today I am trying some eucalyptus oil followed with DMSO on my joints. An hour later so far so good.
I just want to thank all those who have left responses. I suffer from neuropathy from the waist down (fall on ice) and I also have poor blood flow in one leg. I have tried several combinations of essential oils. But really like the one from Shirley April 11, 2019. Thank you again.
I have been using essential oils on my feet for neuropathy for some time now. I will swear by these oils. I have no more numbness in my feet, no more burning or pain. My sister has circulation problems in her legs and I’m going to try these oils on her legs. I feel confident it will work for her as well.
Just what I have been looking for.
How do I mix them ,please help.

What is the amount to use of Each Essential oil for Circulation problem or a good mixture or can you use all three together to get a better result?
I too would like to know the ratio of each oil to be able to create a roller ball or lotion to apply to my feet if you could please advise.
Today, I am researching the topic of circulation and came across your site. Thank you for this useful information. I never thought about using essential oils before to increase circulation.
Enjoyed the article but curious why rosemary essential oil is not on top three? And what do you recommend for a foot soak with the oils. What would you need?
Thanks!
Where can I learn the difference between a nebulizer diffuser and the other ones
Looking at circulation for feet.. I would like to make up a roller ball .. How many drops of each would I add to a 10 ml bottle?
Another very important detail you need to do for using oils as a bath or foot soak: Use in combination with Epsom Salt. I’ve read that it helps your body absorb the oils and draws out toxins.
I read a clinical trial on neuropathy and they found these oils to have really good effects:
Piper nigrum (black pepper), Betula lenta, Matricaria recutita (German Chamomile), Chamaemelum nobile (Roman Chamomile), Metha x piperita (peppermint), Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary ct. cineole) Pelargonium x asperum (Geranium), (Geranium Rose)
I’m going to try this combination for my numbness in my hands and swollen ankles. Sadly, as soon as I hit menopause I suddenly developed all these problems, including hair loss. I wish I had the money to buy a nebulizing diffuser they sound awesome.
Always great information is shared – thank you!
Thanks for this advice and drawing.
Great information I will use
