7 Amazing Benefits of Frankincense Essential Oil

You may remember frankincense as being one of the gifts that the three Kings brought to the baby Jesus upon his birth. Frankincense was once a highly prized compound that was coveted for its strong aroma. It comes from the Boswellia tree that is native to northeast Africa and India, and it is often burned and used in religious ceremonies to this day. Though frankincense is still harvested and used as it was thousands of years ago, many people today prefer to reap the amazing benefits from the essential oil that is produced from it.

I love the story of the Three Kings coming to Jesus with gifts of Frankincense. What a wonderful gift. While the traditional story of the Kings arriving at the time of His birth is a wonderful story, in fact they didn’t arrive until Jesus was about 2 years old.

Frankincense comes from the Boswellia tree. Interesting! I’ve read a lot about Frankincense, but I have never heard that. I hear about Boswellia and Frankincense all the time, but you would never know there was a connection with the two. Companies want you to buy both products, which now makes even less sense.
