Essential Oils For Sexual Dysfunction
Sexual dysfunction is more common than most people think. Men and women of all ages experience some form of sexual dysfunction. However, it does become more common among older people. If you are experiencing any form of sexual dysfunction, we have just the essential oils that will help you overcome the problem.
Common Sexual Dysfunction
Sexual dysfunction is an issue that prevents an individual or a couple from experiencing satisfaction from sexual activity. This happens when an individual fails to respond accordingly in one of the phases of the sexual response cycle (excitement, plateau, orgasm, and resolution). Sexual dysfunction may be caused by poor or declining health or a psychological problem.
The good news is sexual dysfunction is a treatable condition. Essential oils have been used for centuries to help with sexual dysfunction or simply increase one’s sexual drive. If you are experiencing sexual dysfunction, try the following essential oils.
Essential Oils For Sexual Dysfunction
Ylang-Ylang
Ylang-ylang essential oil is well known as one of the strongest natural aphrodisiacs. It comes from the flower ylang-ylang, commonly found in Southeast Asia, which has a gentle but distinct floral scent. This essential oil also has relaxing abilities which could help set the mood for romance.
Sandalwood
Sandalwood essential oil comes from the sandalwood tree. It is a rather expensive essential oil because the sandalwood tree can only be harvested after 40 to 80 years to produce this essential oil. Sandalwood essential oil is commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine as an aphrodisiac. It helps increase the sexual libido of men in particular. In addition, individuals may find its relaxing ability helpful.
Ginger
Ginger essential oil is known to increase sexual desire. It has been used to address low libido in both men and women thanks to its warming and stimulating properties. This essential oil also relieves stress and anxiety, which helps people achieve satisfying sexual intercourse. Ginger essential oil is a great natural aphrodisiac.
Fennel
Fennel essential oil is great for alleviating menstrual cramps and other symptoms of dysmenorrhea due to its ability to promote hormonal balance. But that is not all it does. Fennel essential oil is also effective at increasing libido of women.
Patchouli
Patchouli essential oil comes from the leaves of the patchouli plant, which is known for its pale pink and white flowers. It has a wide range of benefits that include boosting libido. Like ylang-ylang essential oil, patchouli essential oil has been used for a long time as an aphrodisiac. It encourages blood flow, boosts one’s mood, and stimulates one’s sexual appetite.
Neroli
Neroli essential oil is derived from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree. This essential oil’s sweet and citrusy aroma helps increase sexual desire, particularly in women who may be experiencing sexual dysfunction due to stress or hormonal imbalance from menopause.
Rose
It is no surprise that rose essential oil, which is derived from the plant that has become the universal symbol for love, is also an aphrodisiac. Aside from its calming properties, rose essential oil boosts sexual appetite.
Jasmine
Jasmine essential oil is not exactly an aphrodisiac, but its benefits offer a great complement to aphrodisiac essential oils. Jasmine helps enhance mood, boosts energy, and improves confidence. Those factors contribute to a satisfying sexual experience, particularly for women.
Lavender
Lavender essential oil, derived from the fragrant lavender flower, is undisputed for its relaxing and calming abilities. This soothing essential oil is another perfect complement to strong aphrodisiacs. It can help set the mood and get each individual ready for intimacy.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon essential oil has a sweet and spicy scent that is known as a strong stimulant of blood circulation. This effect may come in handy for those with erectile dysfunction. Overall, this essential oil has a warming effect that can get anyone in the mood for love.

Un buen artículo y muy interesante, gracias por la información.
There really is an essential oil for absolutely everything. I had no idea.
An interesting topic. I think I will give it a go. It would be helpful to know the timeline for seeing results. When I first looked at the subject line I thought it pertained to using massage oils.
I have never seen an article addressing this issue for essential oils, only certain massage oils for relaxation and romantic themed around valentines day etc. But it make sense, with the obvious ones like rose. That must be why sandalwood is often used in higher end men’s colognes and such. Interesting. I wonder what differences and how they differ between men and women specifically though and which scent is which for that. Thanks for the read.
