Whether we need to purify our surroundings, treat an skin ailment, relax our minds, sooth our aching bodies, or just get a little extra help focusing from day to day, aromatherapy has helped many people find the balance they need to improve their life.

Aromatherapy is unique in its holistic approach to healing, due to its deep consideration of emotional health, medical history, lifestyle and individual characteristics, making every single treatment unique to its target. These oils provide a number of benefits, and thanks to their growing popularity, information about them is becoming more and more accessible. So what can aromatherapy do for you?

Energy Boost

I don’t know about you, but as someone trying to juggle school, work, and family, I know I need a little boost from time to time. While many of us tend to rely on things such as energy drinks or coffee to give us the boost we need, essential oils can provide a simlar effect without the health risks that these things can pose in used in excess. Energy boosting essential oils are:

  • Rosemary
  • Ginger
  • Cinnamon

These oils can help to soothe both your mind and your body, and are extremely helpful for relieving feelings of anxiety or stress, and can, as a result, help to balance your mood.   • Lavender

I keep wondering why the medicinal aspect of essential oils only touches the nonspecific or transient problems we face, but never is a real diagnosis of substance. You’ll see generalized claims for “energy boost”, “anxiety relief”, “mood enhancement” – but never “against diabetes”, “against hypertension”, “against cancer”, etc.

Can remedies for real ailments be tackled with essential oils?

There probably are good cures by essential oils for bad diseases, only somehow this aspect still eludes us, and I wonder why?
