What Essential Oils Help Control Pneumonia?

Pneumonia is a common respiratory illness that can be very troubling. It affects the lungs, making it nothing to underestimate. Though it affects over 500, 000 thousand people each year, it can still be a scary experience to go through if you catch it.

Common Symptoms of Pneumonia

  • Coughing – dry or productive
  • Shortness of breath
  • Green phlegm expectorated when coughing
  • Headache and muscle aches
  • Fever and chills
  • Chest pains
  • Fatigue

What is Pneumonia?

Pneumonia can be caused by a bacteria, virus, or fungus. In rare cases, a parasite can cause pneumonia. There are several factors that can put one at a higher risk for contracting pneumonia, such as:

  • Smoking
  • Weakened immune system
  • Health conditions like COPD, asthma, and cystic fibrosis
  • Chemical exposure
  • Age – under age 5 and over age 65

It is important to seek medical treatment if you think that you are experiencing the symptoms of pneumonia. Though you might be required to take antibiotics or pain killers to get pneumonia symptoms under control, there several essential oils that can be added to your treatment plan that are effective in treating the symptoms of pneumonia the natural way.

Why Essential Oils are Good for Pneumonia

Many essential oils have properties that can fight illness, treat symptoms, and eliminate infections. These properties are:

  • Antibacterial. Essential oils contain properties that are antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal. This means that they are very effective in killing the bacteria and microbes that can cause pneumonia, making recovery even quicker. This may also help reduce the amount of antibiotics needed through the illness.
  • Anti-Inflammatory. Many essential oils are good for pneumonia thanks to their ability to reduce inflammation in the lungs
  • Analgesic. People can often experience pain with pneumonia from coughing and inflammation. Analgesic essential oils are good for pneumonia to ease that discomfort.
  • Antiviral. Just like the antibacterial properties, antiviral essential oils can fight types of pneumonia that are caused by a viral infection.
  • Decongestant. Properties that can break up phlegm and help expectorate mucus can help ease breathing and assist with a faster recovery.

Not only are essential oils good for pneumonia, they can contribute to better health and assist with the prevention of pneumonia to avoid getting sick in the first place. Many essential oils can improve the immune system when inhaled regularly form a nebulizing essential oil diffuser such as:

  • Lemon Essential Oil
  • Bergamot Essential Oil
  • Lavender Essential Oil
  • Pine Essential Oil

By running them through cold and flu season, you can decrease your chances of illness before it happens.

I have all the symptoms of emphysema and chronic bronchitis; chest tightness and back pain, coughing blood, shortness of breath when I exercise, and always tired. Overinflated lungs is all that shows on x-ray but I cannot get diagnosed with anything, and cannot get the right medication. My symptoms get worse when I go the city with the smog and near the ocean and gas heaters and cooking smells. So as you can imagine, everyone tells me it is in my head; definitely not. I have been perfectly fine up until 4 years ago when all this started. I don’t know where to turn to next. I had bronchoscopy, CT chest scan, MRI of back (for the pain); my symptoms just are not getting better. I have seen 3 respiratory doctors and all say there is no cure, I cannot work out what’s happening. I was checking on internet when i saw a forum were Mr Lingard Ellis wrote about Solution Health Herbal Clinic who cures all kind of disease so i had to contact this clinic on their email on solutionsherbalclinic gmail com. I purchase a natural herbs from this clinic which they sent through courier. You can do the same. As long as it works for me, it will work for you too. Here’s their website: http //solutionhealthherbalclinic com/contact/index html

At age 29 I was diagnosed with Bronchitis. At that time I had been a smoker for at least for 2 year. My doctor admonished me that if I didn’t quit, the bronchitis could turn into COPD. I had not quit and by the time I was 41, I was diagnosed of COPD. I had severe shortness of breath after energetic activity; even just climbing stairs, wheezing, fatigue and tightness of the chest. I was on Advair and albuteral inhaler. I even used Prima Tene Mist inhaler, but nothing really made me feel better. About two years ago, I began to do a lot of research and learnt about a COPD TREATMENT from Rich Herbs Foundation and their success rate with the treatment,i immediately started on the treatment, i started experience reduction/decline in major symptoms, including the shortness of breath, fatigue, cough and wheezing. Visit RHF page ww w. richherbsfoundation. c om. Its been over 1 years since treatment, i feel great and breath well
