How It Works
The Exquisite uses Bernoulli’s Principle to naturally atomize pure essential oil without heat or water. A whisper-quiet micro air pump sends pressurized air across a specially designed nozzle inside the glass reservoir, breaking essential oil into an ultra-fine mist of micro-particles. These particles stay suspended in the air longer and are absorbed more effectively than the diluted water vapor produced by ultrasonic devices.

Care & Maintenance
Keeping your Exquisite in peak condition is simple:
- Weekly cleaning: Remove the glass reservoir and rinse with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl). Use the included pipette to flush the internal tubes.
- Switching oils: Run a few drops of rubbing alcohol through the reservoir before adding a new oil to prevent scent mixing.
- Thick oils: Oils like vetiver, patchouli, myrrh, and frankincense can clog micro-tubes. Dilute with Augeo Clean Multi before use, or clean immediately after.
- Storage: If not using for more than a week, clean the reservoir before storing.

Does a Nebulizing Diffuser® use water or heat?
No. A Nebulizing Diffuser® uses a gentle stream of air to turn pure essential oil into a fine aroma, so there is no water tank to fill and no heat to change the oil. You get the full scent of the oil, undiluted.
How much oil does it use?
About 20 to 25 drops in the glass reservoir is enough in most cases, and 15 to 30 drops gives roughly 1 to 2 hours of diffusion on the low setting. Keep the oil level at least 1/4 inch below the top of the two small glass tubes at the bottom of the reservoir.
Which oils can I use?
Use 100% pure essential oils. Do not use fragrance oils, oils with carrier oils such as jojoba, almond or grapeseed, or water. Thicker oils such as sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, frankincense, myrrh, benzoin and cypress are best blended with lighter oils, and the diffuser should be cleaned right after using them.
How do I clean it?
Clean the glass reservoir at least once a week. Pour in 6 to 8 ml of 70% or stronger isopropyl alcohol, seal the opening and swirl for about 30 seconds, then use the included pipette to push alcohol through the small tubes. Let it air dry before adding oil again.
How big a room does it cover?
Our classic Nebulizing Diffusers® are made for rooms up to about 800 sq ft (80 sqm). The intensity is adjustable, so you can keep it subtle in a bedroom or turn it up in an open living space.
Will it work outside the US?
Yes. The power adapter is universal (110V to 220V), so it works in most countries with the right plug adapter.

Really love the sleek design (5 star) but cannot for the life of me figure out why the power plug has to stick out of the front? I feel this ruins the look and design. I bought a right angle barrel jack adapter to try and hide the cord a little better. Operates well, I keep it on the lowest setting otherwise it burns through oil really fast. I would give a 5 star, but the power cord placement bothers me so I rated it a 3 star.

It may looked like the vapour when diffusing yet subtle liked the compactness of design which would be easier to transport around when travelling. I like how this product uses no plastic, and looks great. I am bummed I can’t use it on my night stand as the aromas is too strong for me when I am next it it. My diffuser makes a pulsing sound and the light flicker when that Happens. It doesn’t happens all the time. Not sure if others have similar problem.

This is an awesome diffuser. I bought the Raindrop in light wood a while back (and love it), and purchased the Exquisite in red as part of the Valentine’s Day promotion. The exquisite has a smaller overall profile than the Raindrop, but works just as well. When in operation you can hear a low hum, but nothing distracting. The constant white light (which can be turned off) gives off a nice effect. Since the hole in the cap is off to one side, you can somewhat direct where the diffused oil will travel which is a nice bonus. (The Raindrop has the hole at the top of the cap.) Both the Exquisite and the Raindrop are world’s above a water-based ultrasonic diffuser.

If I could, I’d choose different amounts of stars based on categories. In some areas this diffuser is a one, but in aroma it is a four. I am not exactly sure how I feel about this. I ordered it for three reasons; 1. I could choose for it to have a continuous white light (the reason I purchased this one, and not the teardrop, for my room) 2. It is silent 3. It doesn’t use water. The first ended up not being true. If it is, I can’t figure it out. It either cycles through colors or no lights at all. If I would have known this, I would have purchased the teardrop model. It is not at all silent. I read that someone kept it next to their bed because it is so quiet. Mine is across my room and the buzzing is obnoxious. I thought that maybe it was a fluke, but my teardrop is just as noisy. It does send a pure wonderful smell throughout the room quickly, leaving me unsure of how to feel. Very disappointing in so many ways, except the actual function, which is diffusing essential oils….

It looks very nice when the essential oil is colored (like orange oil) as the light takes on that hue. I just really like it! I like the cycling light also, but sometimes it’s distracting.
