Care & Maintenance
Keeping your Raindrop in peak condition is simple:
- Weekly cleaning: Remove the glass reservoir and rinse with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl). Use the included pipette to flush the internal tubes.
- Switching oils: Run a few drops of rubbing alcohol through the reservoir before adding a new oil to prevent scent mixing.
- Thick oils: Oils like vetiver, patchouli, myrrh, and frankincense can clog micro-tubes. Dilute with Augeo Clean Multi before use, or clean immediately after.
- Storage: If not using for more than a week, clean the reservoir before storing.

My previous nebulizer was a lower-cost product from the local department store that began to lose its effectiveness by dispersing primarily water vapor rather than the essential oil — which only seemed to be added to the vapor for about 10-15 minutes during a multi-hour setting. After researching through Amazon, and seeing that this product was included in a New York Times article for best current nebulizers, I decided to try it. The Raindrop was a significant improvement from the previous product because essential oils are evenly distributed through the air for the entire time that you have the nebulizer active until the oils are depleted. I keep the power setting at 10 oclock, and this seems to adequately disperse the essential oils. I have tried Eucalyptus and Signature Blend from Organic Aromas, and both products were of very good quality and appreciated. The one-week of usage cleanup was easy, and simply involved putting a small amount of isopropyl through the dispersion system for 10-15 minutes. Recommending this product!

I wanted a waterless diffuser because it’s been getting more humid in the summers here and this is my first nebulizing diffuser. The Raindrop diffuser is very pretty and works great. It runs quietly and shuts off automatically after a couple of hours. I usually have the light off because I use it at night, but the light does not turn off automatically after the 2 hours when I have it on. I thought the essential oil scent would be stronger since it’s not mixed with water, but I feel like it creates a gentler aroma in the room. Maybe that’s just me. I have been using it every day.

I really love this nebulizing diffuser. It is SO powerful compared to diffusers that use water. I love that it can just fill up a room/most of my apartment. The noise is somewhat noticeable – a gentle purring – but I don’t mind it so much! I only hear it when I’m going to sleep and it’s silent in the room otherwise, the noise fades into the background.
About four months after I had purchased my Raindrop diffuser, it had stopped working all of a sudden. I’m still not 100% sure where to attribute the problem to but I think it’s likely it could have been due to me not cleaning it properly (be sure to let it dry ALL THE WAY before putting it back in, etc.). I emailed the company and they were kind enough to send me a new diffuser free of charge and referred me to more detailed cleaning instructions. I was really impressed with their customer service which inspired me to come over here and do a review!
Overall, this diffuser is incredible quality and even on the off chance that something goes wrong or gets broken, the company is awesome at helping you out. So, if you’ve been thinking about taking the leap and are an essential oils enthusiast, I’d say just go for it!

I absolutely love the Nebulizing Diffuser! I used to use the tea-light burners but it was not the quality I was looking for. The oil was very often burnt, the smell varied as the oil wasn’t distributed properly. I was looking for some oils online when I came across a Polish blog, where a herbalist recommends the Organic Aromas as she tested so many of diffusers, oil burners etc but this is the best she knows on the market. Well, she was so right! I am so glad of having it now and enjoying pure aromatherapy!

I absolutely love my raindrop nebulizer!
First off I think the design of this nebulizer is just gorgeous. It’s simple and elegant and not a weird shape like most nebulizers.
When I am using this I can smell the essential oil throughout my entire two bedroom apartment! My other water diffusers never made much scent and I couldn’t smell them even a few feet away. But with this nebulizer the scent is strong and lasts a long time even after the unit is turned off. I feel you really get a better sense of the scent and properties of the essential oils that I never had with my water diffusers.
There is a knob to control how much scent is produced and I normally keep it in the middle as it can be too much if you are in a smaller room when it is turned all the way up.
I like the color changing light and normally keep it turned on but love that there is the option to turn it off if I don’t want the light.
Another amazing feature is how easy to clean this is! Just swish a little alcohol around in the base of the glass and dump it out. Easy, quick, and less mess.
The glass pieces are made of thin glass but seem pretty sturdy. I have even knocked the one glass piece off a table top and it clinked on the floor but didn’t break. Of course its best to be careful with glass anyway.
Lastly I think the usage cycle of 2 minutes on 1 minute off is quite nice. It isn’t necessary to be on all the time and saves some of the oil that would otherwise be used up. It also has an auto shutoff after two hours to avoid the pump from breaking. However I never know if it is off or not since the lights don’t turn off so I have to watch it for a while to make sure it is turned off and then I turn the knob to off.
Honestly one of my favorite purchases. I use it almost everyday. I love trying new essential oils blends and am so excited knowing I will be smelling it all day with my new nebulizer.
Never going back to a water diffuser again!

The Raindrop is my first diffuser. I adore the shape, as it is very appealing visually. With it’s bamboo base and exquisite glass decanter, you can’t go wrong in any decor. This one really works, right after you turn it on you really can smell the fragrance of essential oil, it will spread about 600-800 sq ft. And the good thing is it automatically shut off after 2 hrs. Highly recommend, don’t use diffuser that mix essential oil and water, i had three of them they don’t work, i get rid of them. This one from organic aromas is the best.

I found it hard to get a diffuser that isn’t a humidifier as well (in Ireland I really don’t need that) and I am delighted with this one. It arrived fast and very safely packed. It is also safer to use than the humidifier ones that use heat. And it’s pretty!

The Raindrop is my third nebulizer. I have another that works similar to this one, one that draws oil directly from the bottle as well as two water diffusers. The Raindrop has many wonderful qualities. When it’s described as being quiet it is exactly that. It’s on a table next to my bed about 2 feet from my head and I hear absolutely nothing from the Raindrop. This nebulizer diffuses oil well, it’s beautiful looking (I bought black), the glass is elegant, it’s easy to use, and easy to clean. I have mixed feelings about the changing lights and would like to be able to turn them off sometimes, however, they are softer than my diffuser and are peaceful in a dark bedroom. I do wonder if running a powerful nebulizer for too long is good for the body so I run it for about 30 minutes before sleep, shut it off before the auto shut-off and then turn on my water diffuser to continue help with sleep. If I wake up in the night I turn the Raindrop back on to help me get back to sleep. Overall, I love the Raindrop. I highly recommend it and would purchase it again.
