Continuing Education: Essential Oils
We recently encountered a group of curious Indian customers who were utterly fascinated with our Nebulizing Essential Oil Diffuser. Their precocious 18-year-old, aspiring-engineer daughter was captivated by the way the Organic Aromas’ unit sprays a steady stream of atomized pure essential oils onto the glass reservoir that pours forth in a wispy mist.
Having only just discovered that the fabulous aromas being emitted into the air around them was not, in fact, a chemical, but rather the “essence” of a plant’s natural fragrance. They stood amazed, not necessarily believing something could be so beautiful and not having been manufactured in a factory!
Welcome to the exciting world of aromatherapy…
Essential oils, used across the globe throughout history, are natural compounds that contain a characteristic fragrance and potentially medicinal properties ranging from skin and respiratory treatments to remedies for cancer.
They are used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, and other products, for flavoring food and drink, and for adding to scents in cleaning products. Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine that claims that essential oils are not just beautiful aromas, but also may have curative effects.
The Organic Aromas Nebulizing Aromatherapy Diffuser
As more and more people discover the variety of benefits found in essential oils, they have turned to diffusers to emit these lovely fragrances into their local environment.
The Organic Aromas diffuser takes this to its’ fullest potential by diffusing only pure essential oil, avoiding the harmful affects caused by using fire or heat or diluting them with water in a plastic vessel.
It is important to remember that essential oils are strong and powerful. In addition, each individual will have a unique tolerance and reaction to the essential oils they breathe or are exposed to. It is necessary to be prudent and use them in a way and a fashion appropriate for the location, use and individual.
Always be modest when using essential oils and test them in a limited way. Remember a little goes a long way. As essential oils in Nature offer the plants they reside in real physical qualities (to attract and defend, as an antioxidant, to regulate temperature, as stimulants, and more), we need to remember that the potential therapeutic effects of essential oils should be used in moderation and in an appropriate way.
Go slow, easy and enjoy your aromatherapy diffuser!
