Benefits of an Essential Oil Diffuser

Benefits of an Essential Oil Diffuser

Inhalation is the most common way that people reap the benefits of essential oils.  Essential oil diffusers are used to disperse the small molecules in the essential oil through the air so that they may enter the body. When you inhale the scent, the many receptors in your mucus membranes take the smell, identify it, and send sensory stimulation messages to your brain. Your brain then decides how to react based on the molecules in the essential oil.

For example, if you use rosemary oil in your essential oil diffuser, your brain will recognize the molecules that can lift your mood, ease headache pain, and improve your focus.

If you are looking for something soothing to add to your essential oil diffusers, a few drops of ylang-ylang dispersed in the air will send signals to your brain to relax.

And when all else fails and you simply cannot smell a thing because your sinuses are so congested, using eucalyptus in your essential oil diffusers can clear you out enough to finally breathe better.

The Benefit of Physical Health

Physical illness can be disabling. There might be days when you can’t even make it out the door. By filling an essential oil diffuser with healing scents, you can lie on the couch and reap the benefits. Adding peppermint to essential oil diffusers can sooth nausea, sooth migraine headache pain, improve digestion, and reduce allergic reactions. Oregano is great for respiratory disorders, heartburn, and relieving menstrual pain. Sandalwood oil can ease the symptoms of sore and strep throat as well as UTIs. When you are able to diffuse the oil at a consistent rate, you’ll benefit from constant inhalation without having to take a pill or swallow medicine.

The Benefit of Mental Health

Sometimes, you just don’t feel like doing anything. You might be sad, or anxious, or too stressed to think about what you need to do next. But filling up your essential oil diffuser is all you need to do to start feeling better. Let the magic of the oils work wonders on your mind. Using lavender in your essential oil diffuser will promote relaxation, and chamomile has long been lauded for its soothing effects. Rose and black pepper oil can fight anxiety, while pine and jasmine work against depression. Using essential oil diffusers to disperse them will keep the good molecules going all day to continue helping you feel good.

The Benefit of Purity

Essential oil diffusers can clean and purify the air without chemical sprays or heavy duty cleaning. Using basil essential oil can help reduce allergens with its antimicrobial properties. Tea tree oil is great for disinfecting the air from bacteria and viruses, but it also boosts immunity to help prevent illness. When flu season hits, using ravinsara oil in your essential oil diffuser can disinfect the air to help prevent others from becoming ill, but it can also speed healing in those who already are. Essential oils are great bug repellents, so putting lemon or citronella oil into your diffuser can keep them away all day.

The Benefit of Convenience

When it comes to the benefits of using essential oil diffusers, it really boils down to the best way to intake essential oils without any fuss. You simply add your favorite oil or blend to the essential oil diffuser and go about your day. It’s easy and convenient. You don’t need to boil anything on the stove, you don’t need to carry a bottle around with you all day, and you don’t need to spray anything around the room. The essential oil diffusers will continue to work steadily without any extra help. It makes the home smell wonderful and anyone who comes to visit you will surely remark upon it. Set it on a shelf and forget about it.

Found this page after looking at your products on amazon. Was hoping to get your luxury set but it won’t be here until after Christmas! I guess everyone had the same idea as me. Would also love to win the nebulizer. Never used one and always had the plastic ones.

I have hadn’t thought about using oils to purify the air. I knew they could provide a nice smell but you’re right! If an oil like tea tree has antimicrobial properties then that will also transfer when diffused. Thanks for the great and informative article.

Ever since I switched to a nebulizing diffuser to enhance my mood through aromatherapy I’ve been spending a lot less money on essential oils vs water diffusers! Definitely worth the investment and Organic Aromas makes some of the most visually attractive ones I’ve seen!

As one who creates & admires intriguing sculpture, I’m so intrigued by these diffusers. And new to learning about & researching the nebeulizing type, I believe this must be the one.

I have never heard of ravintsara oil. I’ll have to check it out. Everyone needs to diffuse. I think the world would be a much happier place. So much aggression out there…

Good tips! Thank you! I’m fairly new to diffusing and I’ve been telling all my oil using friends about this nebulizing diffuser. None of them had ever heard of them or knew the difference between the nebulizer and the water type diffusers. I get so excited because I really love mine and love to share the benefits with others!
