How It Works

The Opulence uses Bernoulli’s Principle to naturally atomize pure essential oil without heat or water. A whisper-quiet micro air pump sends pressurized air across a specially designed nozzle inside the glass reservoir, breaking essential oil into an ultra-fine mist of micro-particles that stay suspended in the air longer and are absorbed more effectively than diluted water vapor from ultrasonic devices.

Care & Maintenance

  • Weekly cleaning: Remove the glass reservoir and rinse with rubbing alcohol (isopropyl). Use the included pipette to flush the internal tubes.
  • Switching oils: Run a few drops of rubbing alcohol through the reservoir before adding a new oil.
  • Thick oils: Dilute with Augeo Clean Multi before use, or clean immediately after.
  • Ceramic base: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not allow essential oil to drip onto the ceramic surface.

    I do love these nebulizers! I happened to receive one this time that was defective (I ordered two in this order, and I own a third and have gifted a fourth), and customer service was great and helpful. I will say that the Opulence nebulizer has a larger base than I’d envisioned; it’s not as dainty as I’d imagined, but it is pretty and sturdy.

    The only choices all included the word ‘Great’ … It’s an expensive but very cool item, second one of these that I have ordered and I’ve tried many, many types of diffusers. I wanted one that takes no water and really like the way this works. Very delicate though so extra care is needed.

    TL;DR: I highly recommend the Opulence nebulizing diffuser, and I believe it’s the best diffuser currently made (see notes below). I found this diffuser and the Organic Aromas company after searching online and reading many positive reviews. I had previously used an ultrasonic diffuser in my small apartment (different brand), but was disappointed that I couldn’t smell the essential oils very much, which are expensive. I was also concerned with humidity and read that nebulizing diffusers have more health benefits with the atomizing process. The Opulence diffuser has been phenomenal, and it solves all of these things. There are not many nebulizing diffusers out there, and I like how this one is built and the quality. It is very quiet other than some gurgling when the oil gets low. The low noise may be from the motor being in a porcelin base? (I have the white model.) The smell is definitely strong and fills my entire apartment for days, which is wonderful, say if I run 15 drops of oil for 2 hours. I also like that the light can be turned off, and it has variable motor speed. My experience with Organic Aromas has been very positive: they shipped quickly, they do a good job of explaining the product and answering questions, and the quality has been good and it is reasonably priced. I do have a couple notes after using the Opulence: 1. The glass cap on the top doesn’t seal completely, so most of the diffused vapor(?) blows out the sides rather than through the hole at the top, unlike their website video. This is not a big deal because it fills my apartment anyway. Also, the cap does not have the ability to be directed like other models, which would be nice. 2. The bigger issue for me is when starting, it takes about 15 drops of oil just to get the oil level high enough for the diffuser to even run. The glass chamber must have a pretty good size gap between the oil level and where the intake tube starts. So I have to start with at least 30 drops (15 to get high enough plus 15 to actually use). Again, this is not a deal breaker, but I am a little disappointed as I expected the glass base to be shaped better to not waste oil when starting fresh. I usually leave the leftover oil to sit each day (between weekly cleanings), so I don’t have to start over each time, but if I want to switch oils, I have to dump the oil into a container – kind of a hassle that I can never “run it dry”. Overall, I would highly recommend the Opulence and Organic Aromas.

    Bought this because it was ceramic and glass, no plastic in contact with the oils, and I am not disappointed in that respect! It is VERY strong even on the lowest setting and diffusing in a large, open concept area… with the weather nice right now, I don’t mind opening up a window to allow airflow, but I foresee it being bothersome in the colder months. They also forgot my free sample, which I was looking forward to trying as my first blend, but CS stated they wouldn’t be able to get it to me unless I spent more money on another order for them to send it out with. The nebulizer is still absolutely beautiful, and cleaning it isn’t terrible. Hoping they can continue to innovate and design one that diffusing intervals can be controlled via Bluetooth for those times your selection is headache inducing too strong and needs to be diffused a bit less often. Their CS response to that was to turn the unit off, which kinda defeats the purpose during meditation and reflection therapies.

    Great product with no visible plastic parts. Suggestions for further improvement: Supply a white adapter with the light colored versions, also with an angled plug so the cord doesn’t stick out so much from the base.

    All class, love the ceramic base, and whisper quite. Oil does tend to collect in the corners and requires a complete shut down to find it’s way back to the centre ready for uptake by the micro tubes. But still, a delightful little unit with modern styling and durable feel.

    Certainly regarding that my purchase is less than two weeks old and under my routine use & maintenance, we will have to make a determination at a later date. i.e. I won’t be capable of delivering a fair evaluation of the product until we can see some longevity regarding the product.

    The diffuser arrived with a slightly different colour than I expected. It looked more gray on the website, but had definite streak of yellow through the grey when it arrived. Looks nice but not the colour I was hoping for.
    However, the diffuser is a little bit noisy when running and the glass lid doesn’t seal the best leaking more of the vapour out than it should. Don’t know if a better deal on the lid would make it quite.

    The shape of the glass means that the oils tend to collect around the edge (rather than flowing to the centre to be sucked up by the tubes). However, mixing a small amount of alcohol with the oil seems to help!
    Otherwise a beautiful diffuser, much smaller than expected and suits my decor well!
