Diffusing oils is one of the more popular ways you can take advantage of everything aromatherapy has to offer. When you use the diffusion method, you are essentially spreading the essential oils through the air and throughout the space. It is a quick way to disperse the oils.
When you use this kind of essential oil diffuser, there is no need to use heat or water to diffuse the oils as you would with other diffuser types. When you heat the essential oils, they lose some of their integrity and aren't as effective. Likewise, when you use water, you are diluting the essential oils which again, decreases their overall effectiveness.
Another big advantage of a nebulizing diffuser is that they are plastic-free. The majority of these kinds of diffusers have all glass and wood construction. Choosing plastic-free diffusers mean you are choosing a healthier option for your home.
Some essential oil mixes have been found to negatively react with the plastic which can cause corrosion of the diffuser and its parts. It can also mean that harmful chemicals and toxins can also be released into the air with the essential oils.
However, keep in mind, when using a nebulizing diffuser, you may find yourself using essential oils at a much higher rate. You also need to make sure to clean the diffuser regularly to avoid the device from becoming clogged and inoperable.
Now that you understand how beneficial a nebulizing diffuser can be, let's take a look at 7 of the best essential oil blends you can use in your diffuser.
This essential oil blend contains clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary essential oils. When used in combination, these oils can increase your concentration, stimulate your mood, and boost the immune system.

It contains spearmint, peppermint, melissa, tangerine, and rosewood which effectively promotes concentration, encourages productivity, and increases creativity throughout the day. It is also good support for your respiratory system as well.

It contains pine, cedarwood, patchouli, eucalyptus, lemon, jasmine, tagetes, and petitgrain. Many of these oils are widely known for their antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.

If you prefer the smells of the outdoor and nature then you’ll want to bring those familiar scents indoors, then the Pacific Northwest blend containing pine, cedarwood, patchouli, juniper, and cypress can accomplish just that. These essential oils also offer an aromatic formula that promotes balance, is a powerful antioxidant, and is ideal if you practice the art of meditation.

In addition to the essential oil blends above, you can also always experiment to find your new favorite blend as well. You are only limited by the essential oils you have in your possession, as well as your level of creativity and imagination.

My all time FAVORITE blend is Thieve’s Oil! To make it you need clove, lemon, cinnamon, rosemary, eucalyptus, and I think that’s it. It is morning, though, and I have not even had my first cup of coffee, so I might be forgetting one small one, but that’s all the big ones anyway! Thank you for sharing all these great blends! There is truly nothing in the world better than having your home smell good! I love when friends and family tell me they came home smelling like my house! It is one of the best compliments anyone can give me! I found that a lot of times, good blends can happen by complete accident or by following someone else’s recipe to the letter. Either way is fine because it is all about experiencing new things and new blends. Aromatherapy is so much fun, not to mention so good for you, too. I wish I would have known about essential oils a lot sooner! But you live, you learn, right!? Thanks again for all the great mixes! Looks like I am going to be mixing it up today! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone!

Excellent article. You recommended some of my favorite blends. Also concur about the increased usage rate of essential oils by this type of diffuser. It is the reason I only purchase my essential oils in the 30ml and 50 ml size. I have recommended to OA that they sale wooden boxes that can take the 30ml/50ml size bottles. Is there anyone else out there that would be in the market for such a storage box???
